About Bubba’s Blankets: A Kent Island Charity
Since 2012, Bubba’s Blankets has distributed thousands of blankets to men, women, and children battling cancer. This project, founded by Jimmy Myrick, Jr.. Jimmy battled leukemia for five years. He inspired by the simple gift of a blanket. Sadly, he passed away in 2016. Finding strength to inspire hope and others fighting cancer, Jimmy distributed cozy blankets to fellow patients. Jimmy’s elves continue his legacy of love by collecting and distributing blankets for the UMMC Greenbaum Cancer center.
