
The Kent Island Summer Reading Program from Queen Anne’s County Library kicks off on Monday, June 13th! Oceans of Possibilities is the theme this year! Featuring programs, prizes and reading adventures for all ages. Be sure to enter to win great prizes each time you visit the library this summer. Winners will chosen throughout the summer. Prizes include family prizes, adult prizes, teen prizes, youth prizes, and many more. From Paddle Boards to visits to the National Aquarium. Games, toys, and more wonderful prizes! Virtual Reality Art
Create art virtually using our Oculus VR headsets! Join the Library every Monday throughout the summer. Create your own virtual art that will be featured in our first virtual art show at the end of Summer Reading. Mondays, June 11 – August 1 CEN Branch
Whalemobile (Ages 6-12) Learn about humpback whales. Go inside “Nile”, an inflatable life-sized humpback whale. Register for a 30 minute timeslot and receive a link to sign up for access to the Whalemobile resources page. Thursday, August 11, KI Branch Tours available from 3-4:30pm* Registration Required
Kayaking with Sultana Education Foundation Meet at Mill Stream Park. Join a guided tour of Mill Stream. First, you will be introduced to kayaking, paddling and safety techniques. After, enjoy a guided exploration of Mill Stream, the history and ecology of the area. This includes catching and releasing some wildlife in Sultana’s wildlife nets. (Recommended for ages 14+) Friday, August 12. Tours available at 9am & 5pm

Story Times, Reptiles, Sharks: Programs for Kids and Teens
Oceans of Possibilities includes summer fun with story times, encounters with reptiles, and even visits from the National Aquarium! Youth programs include music classes, art activities, yoga, and many other opportunities to keep the kids active this summer. Teen programs include gaming tournaments and VR gaming nights.
Adult Programming
Adults can meetup to discuss crime novels, watch movies, learn to knit and more. Yoga classes, knitting, mixed media art are possibilities too. Check out the Veteran’s Book Club or the Outdoor Book Club.
