We’re excited to welcome Jr. Reporter, Riley, 9-years-old, to our team of writers with an awesome park review while she’s exploring Kent Island! First up: Kent Island Park Review: Old Love Point Park!
About Old Love Point Park
Old Love Point Park is a 30.5-acre park that features two lighted baseball/softball diamonds, two additional baseball/softball diamonds, a lighted tennis courts, a lighted sandy volleyball court, multiple fields for soccer and lacrosse, a concession stand, and lighted basketball court. There is a set of cornhole boards near the playground area, remember to bring your own bags if you intend on playing. You can also access the Cross Island Trail from Old Love Point Park.
It also features the Children’s Memorial Playground, dedicated to the memory of children from Queen Anne’s County who prematurely lost their lives. The playground has two major components, one for the toddler age child and one for the older child.
Riley’s Kent Island Park Review
Old Love Point Park was good overall. There were a lot of sports to play there like baseball, soccer, tennis, basketball, volleyball, and bean bag toss. Don’t forget to bring your own items to play! The playground was small compared to the size of the park. There are a lot of benches by the playground and two covered sitting areas. There was also a handicap ramp to the center of the play area. Overall rating: 8 stars out of 10
